I booked the kings arms for its proximity to the train station but it turned out to be the best stay of our holiday. A simply lovely room above a lively pub (food's good too), with exposed beams, a low doorway and a fireplace. The bed was really comfy, the bath a nice change for a relaxing soak, and the bathrobes and slippers a delightful surprise. Basic breakfast provisions are provided in the room (cereals, milk, tea and coffee and yummy biscuits) along with a small fridge where we stored our own provisions.

We stayed here for only one night due to a flight cancellation. The staff were so accommodating, kind and welcoming towards us at a pretty stressful time - in particular Corey who done everything he could to make our stay as fab as possible. We also had the joy of meeting the landlords of the rooms who were so lovely and chatty also. The hotel is in such a lovely location in a great village outside London. The food and wine was exceptional and a really lovely place to sit in the sun in the garden.

A lovely room above a tavern. Check-in was smooth, and everything was as described. One train stop from Stansted airport. Thoughful touches like robes and slippers, a great meal downstairs, and a convenience store next door. Bed was very comfortable and the bottles of water in the refrigerator and couple of small snacks were much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay, Thank you!

I liked the size of the room, the shelving space, the comfort of the bed, the general cosiness of the room. There is a mini fridge with fresh milk for tea, lots of tea, coffee available. My room was surprisingly calm in spite of being on the round about. I also liked the pub downstairs. Lovely atmosphere.

not had breakfast, stay was great and only for 1 night. had to catch a flight from Stansted Harrods Aviation to New York with 2 large dogs. Room was great, treats for dogs were a real nice touch too. Would stay there again if we have to travel to or from Stansted, the Hotel is nice and close
